Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • Effectiveness in handling workplace problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems
  • Ability to listen to, understand, and clarify issues raised by co-workers and guests
  • Competency in working with and understanding financial information and basic arithmetic functions
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards
  • Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards
  • Assist front office manager with hiring and training
  • Coordinate special events or special projects as assigned
  • Assist guests with problems with hotel services
  • Arrange transportation needs for guests
  • Respond to inquiries with accurate information regarding hotel features, services and assistance
  • Be knowledgeable of daily functions, VIPs and any other special events occurring in or pertaining to the hotel
  • Provide information on the geographical area
  • Suggest site-seeing locations and arrange tours
  • Be familiar with all Aimbridge Hospitality policies and house rules as well as hospitality terminology
  • Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner
  • Fully comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system
  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and employees at all times
  • Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages as needed
  • Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees
  • Attend meetings as required by management
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management
