Job Description

This position is for a Concierge role on a PRN (as needed) basis, reporting directly to the Business Office Manager. The role is hourly and primarily located in a senior living community dedicated to elevating the quality of life for its residents. The community is committed to creating an environment where seniors can enjoy comfort, connection, and joy every day. This company emphasizes a welcoming atmosphere and hospitality, ensuring visitors, residents, and staff feel valued and supported.

As the first point of contact for the community, the Concierge plays a critical role in setting the tone for all who enter the property. Greeting visitors, assisting residents, answering phones, and offering clerical support are key aspects of this role, all contributing toward a seamless and professional front desk operation. The Concierge is entrusted with creating a lasting positive impression by demonstrating knowledge of the community's services, programs, and amenities.

Beyond these front desk responsibilities, the Concierge is required to facilitate property tours for prospective residents, coordinate with guests and families, and support the marketing efforts through courteous interactions. This position is essential in ensuring administrative personnel have the support needed through clerical assistance, and contributing to the resident experience in small but meaningful ways such as offering help in the dining room when requested.

The environment in this senior living community is dynamic, requiring the Concierge to be adaptable, patient, and professional at all times. Handling multiple tasks, from managing the mail system to maintaining the reception area and lobby, the Concierge is a cornerstone for high standards of hospitality and operational efficiency. This role also involves maintaining safety in the workplace, following established protocols to ensure the well-being of residents, visitors, and staff.

Physical qualifications of this role reflect the active nature of the job: walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching are frequent requirements. These physical demands highlight the need for an individual who is ready and able to engage with the community actively. The ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken, and to calmly manage emergency situations is also essential.

Overall, the Concierge position at this senior living community is a highly visible and impactful role, combining excellent customer service skills with administrative support and operational accountability. It offers the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors and their families while contributing to the overall success and growth of the community. This position is ideal for someone with a professional demeanor, a cheerful disposition, and a genuine desire to help others.
