Job Requirements

  • Must be able to continuously walk and stand
  • able to perform work both inside and outside
  • sit infrequently
  • able to lift, carry, and push 0-25 pounds constantly
  • able to climb stairs frequently with elevator as alternate
  • must be able to bend frequently manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more
  • must be able to squat frequently with lifting of 25 pounds or less
  • able to twist or rotate occasionally manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more
  • able to reach frequently with occasional overhead reaching manipulating up to 10 pounds and below waist manipulating 25 pounds or more
  • must be able to read clearly with or without corrective lenses
  • able to hear telephone, alarms, bells with or without hearing devices
  • must have strong command of English sufficient to read, write and interpret information

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • able to read, write, and understand the English language, and follow written or oral instructions
  • able to make independent decisions and remain calm during emergency situations
  • able to deal professionally with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
  • knowledgeable of administrative practices, processes, and guidelines
  • experience using computer software (Microsoft)
  • have patience, professionalism, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
  • willing to handle residents, staff, and visitors at different maturity levels

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors seeking information about the property
  • be responsive to the needs of people who inquire about the property and/or who are in the building for meetings with administrative personnel
  • direct visitors to appropriate office or resident apartment
  • assist residents, family members, and guests with general requests
  • arrange for tours of the property for individuals making spontaneous visits or those that have made an appointment for the tour
  • answer telephones, record and channel information
  • display knowledge of the services and programs and other pertinent information regarding the property
  • manage mail meter, stamps, making copies, and other tasks related to office operations
  • process incoming mail, sort property mail and distribute mail to mailboxes
  • maintain reception area in a neat and orderly fashion including refreshing property literature and refreshments
  • perform clerical duties for property staff as directed by supervisor
  • provide assistance in the dining room serving resident meals as requested
  • support marketing efforts through positive interaction during tours and telephone contact
  • communicate any suspected resident changes to supervisor immediately
  • maintain a safe work environment following established safety standards
  • encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
  • support a positive and professional image through actions and dress
  • perform other duties consistent with the position as assigned
