Job Description

The hiring establishment is a senior living community that values exceptional service and a compassionate approach toward assisting older adults. This community is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment where residents, their families, and visitors experience both care and respect. As a reputable organization within the hospitality and healthcare sector, the community emphasizes maintaining high standards of service excellence specifically tailored to the needs of senior residents. The environment is well lit, secure, and climate-controlled, ensuring optimal comfort for both staff and residents. Their commitment extends beyond basic needs to fostering meaningful interactions, promoting a positive atmosphere, and supporting the physical and emotional well-being of older adults. The organization also maintains compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, including Title 22 requirements, and requires criminal record clearance for all new employees to ensure safety and trustworthiness.

The role offered is that of a Concierge at this senior living community, serving as the frontline liaison among residents, visitors, family members, and staff. This full-time role demands a professional individual skilled in delivering outstanding customer service, with responsibilities centered around providing information, assistance, and support through both in-person and telephone communications. The Concierge is expected to uphold the property's standards of excellence by learning and knowing all residents by name and handling each interaction with warmth, respect, and efficiency. Duties include greeting visitors, assisting with general requests, arranging property tours, managing office-related tasks such as handling mail and maintaining the reception area, and coordinating various reservations and services like dining, activities, and personal transportation.

In addition to these daily duties, the Concierge acts as an essential communicator by promptly responding to emergency calls, relaying maintenance requests, and ensuring that safety protocols are followed. The role requires the ability to multitask, manage sensitive information discreetly, and collaborate closely with other departments to foster a positive workplace environment and enhance residents' quality of life. By supporting marketing initiatives through positive interaction during tours and telephone contacts, the Concierge contributes to the community's reputation and growth.

Successful candidates should possess at least a high school education and a minimum of two years' experience in a related hospitality or customer service role. The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in using office equipment and software, including personal computers, are vital for this position. Physical mobility and good health are necessary to meet the physical demands of the job, and the community values personal characteristics such as compassion, genuine concern for aging adults, and a professional demeanor. This role offers a dynamic work environment where teamwork, positive attitude, and dedication to service excellence are highly valued and rewarded.
