The role of Concierge at City Winery is a pivotal position dedicated to ensuring that every guest interaction reflects the premium standard of service that the brand embodies. As the face of guest relations at the Box Office, the Concierge serves as a key point of contact for patrons seeking ticketing assistance, membership information through the City Winery Rewards Program, and access to exclusive merchandise. This position requires a proactive approach to maximize ticket and retail sales while maintaining a welcoming and professional demeanor that enhances the overall guest experience. The Concierge also collaborates closely with Box Office and venue staff to support seamless event operations, including seating arrangements, transaction reconciliation, and addressing guest inquiries or concerns. Beyond transactional duties, the Concierge is a brand ambassador who upholds and communicates the City Winery culture, history, and values. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
minimum 2 years experience in customer service or hospitality
excellent communication skills
proficiency with ticketing and point of sale systems
ability to manage cash transactions accurately
strong organizational skills
ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
customer-focused mindset
attention to detail
team player attitude

Job Qualifications

2+ years prior experience in a concierge, box office, or customer service role in a hospitality setting
ability to consistently deliver high-quality guest experiences and exceed guest expectations
strong work ethic, calm demeanor with customer-focused approach, and immaculate attention to detail
effective communication skills both written and verbal
interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build positive relationships with coworkers and guests
proficient computer skills
ability to work both independently and in a team environment
ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

Correspond with guests in person, phone, and email
manage in-person, online, and phone ticket sales
handle all retail merchandise transactions, organization, sales, inventory, ordering needs, and upkeep
maximize ticket sales and retail merchandise sales
actively participate in and support box office staff duties as needed, including set up and breakdown of venue spaces
assist guests with seat changes
compile house and artist comps and arrange seating appropriately
handle troubleshooting with guests on ticketing purchases
close out and reconcile box office transactions
arrange special care of VIPs, investors, or other guests who may receive gratis food or drink
maintain a neat and tidy Concierge booth
handle payment transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer
attend training courses, tastings, meetings, as needed
maintain a knowledge of City Winery brand, history, culture, and programming, both in venue and restaurant
other duties, tasks, projects as per business needs
