This is an exciting opportunity to join Leisure Vale as a Concierge, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the welcoming atmosphere of the community. This position offers a flexible work schedule mainly covering weekends and weekday evenings, specifically Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 3:30pm, and Monday and Tuesday from 3pm to 11pm. As a Concierge, you will be the first point of contact for residents, families, associates, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include handling communication efficiently, supporting the mission and culture of Leisure Vale, and ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk. This role requires excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. You will contribute to community relationships by cooperating with physicians, pharmacists, vendors, and other stakeholders, ensuring that residents receive timely and accurate information and assistance.

The Concierge also plays a crucial role in emergency preparedness, responding to alarms and coordinating necessary actions promptly to maintain the safety and well-being of all residents and staff. In addition to greeting guests and answering phones, you will be responsible for maintaining daily logs, scheduling resident appointments and activities, managing deliveries, distributing communications, and facilitating billing information to the business office. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in assisted living or related field preferred
  • at least 18 years of age
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • basic computer proficiency including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • no felony convictions
  • availability to work weekends, evenings, holidays and overtime
  • familiarity with office equipment such as telephones, fax and copy machines
  • valid First Aid Certification may be required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • previous assisted living experience is a plus
  • no previous felony conviction, or conviction for fraud of the federal government
  • 18 plus years of age
  • be familiar with how to use a telephone, copy machine, fax machine, and all other office equipment associated with this position
  • possess excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • must be able to read, write, speak and understand English, as well as follow directions (written and oral)
  • possess basic computer skills, including knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • may be required to hold valid First Aid Certification
  • must be willing and able to work required and scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, overtime and holidays

Job Duties

  • answer emergency responder and fire alarm systems and take appropriate emergency steps
  • schedule residents doctor appointments and activities as necessary
  • provide information to business office for billing
  • give directions and disseminate information as directed
  • distribute written communications
  • accept and sign for deliveries (mail, prescriptions, etc.)
  • coordinate guest room reservations as applicable
  • respond appropriately to changes in the work setting
  • perform other related assignments as required
  • be familiar with Oxford Health Group Policies and Procedures Manual and Oxford Associate Handbook
  • act on constructive feedback by listening to supervisors, customers and peers and use it to improve performance
  • maintain resident, employee and community confidentiality
  • respect residents rights
  • demonstrate positive attitude and ability to work well with all people, particularly the elderly
  • promote positive work environment that emphasizes teamwork
  • demonstrate willingness to help other staff whenever needed
  • follow all front desk policies concerning tracking of residents
