Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • proven customer service experience
  • proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and internal applications
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • ability to communicate clearly and accurately
  • reliable and punctual
  • basic knowledge of health and safety protocols
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • must be able to assist with administrative tasks and data entry
  • may require compliance with vaccination mandates as per federal, state, and local laws
  • must understand and adhere to safety and regulatory requirements
  • must have a commitment to serving seniors with compassion and respect.

Job Qualifications

  • ability to learn new applications

  • knowledge of occupational health and safety practices is a plus

  • willingness to attend training and participate in engagement initiatives.

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extend a warm welcome and greeting, offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests, and ensure that the community safety protocols are in place
  • contact the Director of Sales (DOS), Executive Director (ED), or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
  • greet potential candidates interested in learning more about Sunrise careers and job openings and direct candidates to apply online or capture information into the Applicant Tracking System to launch recruitment
  • answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls promptly with the appropriate greeting and identification
  • take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate them to the intended recipient
  • offer a community overview to callers and determine the appropriate transfer
  • manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
  • send get well and sympathy cards to residents and families as needed
  • order Memory Flowers for deceased residents
  • order flowers and nameplates for new residents
  • order guest meals for moves
  • maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • support DOS with Customer Relationship Management database entry
  • maintain desk and entry area neat and organized
  • check and restock the Bistro for refreshments and cleanliness
  • ensure music plays throughout the day
  • partner with the community team for compliance with health and safety regulations
  • practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout
  • maintain resident and team member rosters and schedules
  • champion the Safe Leaving Program
  • respond to emergencies according to policy
  • ensure guests and residents sign in/out
  • maintain high-risk elopement list
  • update daily resident phone list and rosters
  • prepare and collect meal tickets and money
  • organize and distribute mail and newspapers
  • post the daily menu
  • assist with recruitment data entry and administrative duties
  • monitor and order office supplies
  • track and disperse team member paychecks
  • participate actively in team goals and training
  • demonstrate Team Member Credo and Principles of Service
  • contribute to engagement programs
  • attend meetings and maintain compliance with required training
  • perform other duties as assigned.
