This particular role is focused on community support and administrative assistance within the senior living environment. The position offers a pay range of $17.00 to $19.00 per hour and is ideal for candidates who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents by providing excellent customer service and ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

As a member of the Senior Lifestyle team in this role, you will be the first point of contact for residents, guests, prospective residents, and their families. Your responsibilities will include greeting visitors warmly and offering assistance as needed, managing incoming telephone calls efficiently, and maintaining security by monitoring surveillance systems and alarms. Additionally, you will be tasked with handling packages and deliveries, processing work orders and incident reports, and maintaining logs related to community keys and gate passes. This role also involves administrative support for other departments and ensuring timely responses to resident and family concerns. Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times is essential, as you will be representing the community and promoting a culture of respect and kindness.

The role requires a high level of communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ideal candidates will demonstrate compassion, empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. The ability to multitask, work collaboratively as part of a team, and exercise independent judgment when necessary is critical to success in this role.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • relevant experience in a customer service or administrative role preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet residents and provide general assistance to visitors, prospective residents, and families
  • answer telephone calls
  • monitor surveillance cameras, door alarms, life safety systems, building alarms and investigate unusual activity
  • process reports such as work orders, incidents, and concerns
  • receive and deliver or hold packages, plants, prescription drugs as requested
  • maintain sign in/out log for community keys and gate passes
  • assist other departments with administrative functions
  • ensure timely response and follow up to resident, family, and employee concerns
  • maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers
  • perform other duties as assigned
