Job Description
Sunrise Senior Living is a leading provider of senior living services committed to empowering its residents to live longer, healthier, and happier lives. With a reputation for fostering a supportive, inclusive, and caring environment, Sunrise Senior Living has been repeatedly recognized as a Great Place to Work, having earned this prestigious certification eight times. This recognition reflects its dedication to creating a workplace culture that values meaningful connections among residents, their families, and team members, as well as its commitment to growth and service excellence across its communities.
Sunrise Senior Living operates senior living communities that focus on providing exceptional care and service to older adults, supporting their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being. The company values the sacredness of human life and embeds this belief into all aspects of its mission, principles of service, core values, and daily practices. By joining the Sunrise team, employees are empowered to contribute in meaningful ways that positively impact the lives of residents and enrich the community as a whole.
The Concierge role at Sunrise Senior Living serves as a pivotal position within the community, often being the first point of contact for residents, their families, potential residents, and visitors. This role carries the responsibility of providing warm, welcoming, and professional customer service, managing communications, and supporting both the administrative and marketing functions of the community. The Concierge plays a key role in representing Sunrise’s brand and values, ensuring all interactions reflect the company's principles of service.
The Concierge is essential to providing an exceptional community experience by managing the entry and bistro areas, answering calls promptly and accurately, handling appointment scheduling, facilitating the recruitment process by assisting with candidate inquiries and data entry, and ensuring the environment remains pleasant and safe. The role also involves risk management duties by partnering with community leadership to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, responding to emergencies, and supporting the Safe Leaving Program to protect residents.
Aside from daily administrative tasks such as maintaining schedules, handling meal tickets, organizing mail, and tracking team member paychecks, the Concierge also supports sales and marketing efforts. This includes managing marketing materials, assisting with lead tracking, ordering flowers and guest meals during resident move-ins, and encouraging potential candidates to pursue careers with Sunrise. This multifaceted role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, sound judgment, and a commitment to the company’s mission.
Sunrise Senior Living offers a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans, retirement savings plans, employee assistance and discount programs, paid time off, sick leave, holiday pay, as well as tuition reimbursement. Some benefits have eligibility requirements, and additional discretionary or performance-based bonuses may be available. Employment requires passing a drug test, tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check where applicable, with mandatory vaccinations based on local laws.
Joining Sunrise Senior Living means becoming part of a team dedicated to making a difference, fostering growth, and building relationships in a culture that truly shines. The Concierge position offers a unique opportunity to be a welcoming presence, an organized professional, and a core contributor to ensuring that every resident, guest, and team member experiences a meaningful, safe, and joyful community life. This is not just a job; it’s a chance to embark on a fulfilling career path where your work positively impacts others and where you can grow both personally and professionally.
