Job Description
theWit Hotel is a distinguished Hilton property situated in the vibrant heart of Chicago's theatre district. Renowned for its design-forward aesthetic and energetic atmosphere, the hotel offers stunning skyline views and is celebrated for providing personalized, memorable guest experiences. As a luxury hotel, theWit combines modern amenities with an urban edge, making it a sought-after destination for both leisure and business travelers who wish to immerse themselves in the city's cultural richness and dynamic lifestyle. The hotel's location places it within walking distance of major attractions, theatres, restaurants, and shopping districts, making it ideal for guests seeking convenience and excitement during their stay.
The Concierge role at theWit is a pivotal position that focuses on enhancing the guest experience through impeccable service and expert local knowledge. Serving as the primary point of contact for guests, the Concierge is responsible for anticipating and fulfilling an array of guest needs and preferences, ranging from dining and entertainment recommendations to logistical arrangements and special occasion planning. This position demands a highly polished and service-oriented individual who can engage with guests warmly and professionally, embodying the hotel's energetic and sophisticated brand identity. The Concierge must excel in communication, demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
The role encompasses curating tailored itineraries that maximize guests' enjoyment of Chicago's rich cultural scene, including theatre productions, nightlife, festivals, and sporting events. The Concierge coordinates seamlessly with various hotel departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Sales to ensure special requests and VIP arrangements are flawlessly executed. A deep understanding of the hotel’s amenities — such as the spa, rooftop experiences, and in-room dining — is essential, as is the ability to provide timely information and support across multiple communication channels including in-person, phone, text, and email.
Operating in a fast-paced, luxury environment, the Concierge must organize and prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining impeccable attention to detail. The role also requires proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS) and reservation platforms to document guest preferences and facilitate smooth service transitions. Flexibility is key, as the position requires availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligned with the busy nature of an urban luxury hotel.
Compensation for this position is $24.00 per hour, alongside a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote the well-being and financial security of employees. The package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance options, paid time off, retirement plans, and additional voluntary insurances. TheWit offers not just a job but a career opportunity with pathways for professional growth, training, and a vibrant work culture that celebrates employee wellness and engagement. This Concierge role is an excellent opportunity for passionate hospitality professionals eager to deliver exceptional service while engaging guests with insider knowledge of Chicago’s unique offerings.
