Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs
- comfortable working in indoor/outdoor yard environments
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- prior experience in customer service or hospitality
- bilingual skills preferred
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- knowledge of order management systems a plus
- ability to maintain professionalism and hospitality in customer interactions
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- prior experience in the hospitality or customer service industry is highly preferred
- bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- proficient in Microsoft Office
- working knowledge of point-of-sale or order management systems a plus
- strong product knowledge of lumber and hardware or a willingness to learn
- understanding of lumberyard layout and product locations is preferred
Job Duties
- Answer and route radio calls and follow up as needed
- escalate urgent issues per established procedures
- perform light administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, copying, and inventory of supplies
- provide coverage for other shifts as needed and complete other duties assigned
- warmly greet and assist all customers with professionalism and hospitality
- coordinate communication between sales staff, order pullers, forklift drivers, and customers to ensure timely order fulfillment
- provide receipts to forklift drivers and load builders
- facilitate the pulling of orders from the yard based on sales tickets
- oversee merchandise return memos and ensure proper documentation and resolution
- maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at the service desk and surrounding area
