Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs
  • comfortable working in indoor/outdoor yard environments
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • prior experience in customer service or hospitality
  • bilingual skills preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of order management systems a plus
  • ability to maintain professionalism and hospitality in customer interactions
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • prior experience in the hospitality or customer service industry is highly preferred
  • bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • proficient in Microsoft Office
  • working knowledge of point-of-sale or order management systems a plus
  • strong product knowledge of lumber and hardware or a willingness to learn
  • understanding of lumberyard layout and product locations is preferred

Job Duties

  • Answer and route radio calls and follow up as needed
  • escalate urgent issues per established procedures
  • perform light administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, copying, and inventory of supplies
  • provide coverage for other shifts as needed and complete other duties assigned
  • warmly greet and assist all customers with professionalism and hospitality
  • coordinate communication between sales staff, order pullers, forklift drivers, and customers to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • provide receipts to forklift drivers and load builders
  • facilitate the pulling of orders from the yard based on sales tickets
  • oversee merchandise return memos and ensure proper documentation and resolution
  • maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at the service desk and surrounding area
