The Concierge role at Fairmont Grand Del Mar is pivotal as the guest experience hub of the resort. The Concierge team is entrusted with delivering exceptional, personalized service to each guest, ensuring that every interaction is friendly, timely, and solution-oriented. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in guest relations or hospitality preferred
  • Previous PMS experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit frequently throughout shift
  • Ability to occasionally kneel, push, pull, lift and ascend or descend stairs and ramps
  • Must comply with hotel grooming and uniform standards
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Must commit to regular attendance and training sessions

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent work organization and problem solving skills
  • Positive, outgoing and professional attitude with a passion for service
  • Previous leadership experience in guest relations preferred
  • Previous PMS experience required
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications required
  • University or college degree in a related discipline an asset
  • Must possess a professional presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

Job Duties

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper areas/departments
  • Establish and maintain an effective communication process with all departments, in particular with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering
  • Respond to all emails and text messages in a timely and professional manner adhering to Forbes standards
  • Respond to all incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette
  • Properly log and detail all guest bookings in ALICE and provide printed itineraries
  • Complete daily billing procedures to ensure accurate revenue posting for third party vendors
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel offerings and San Diego area attractions to provide informed recommendations
  • Anticipate guest needs and offer thoughtful suggestions
  • Uphold Fairmont Brand Standards and demonstrate commitment to respect, integrity, teamwork, and empowerment
  • Work independently and seek additional duties during slow periods
  • Promote safety, security, and guest well-being
  • Attend and complete all training sessions as required
  • Support environmental initiatives at all times
