Job Requirements
- Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa
- Complete a pre-employment medical
- Obtain a criminal background check
- Bring approved work shoes
- Willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel
- Willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities, and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan
- Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System
- If applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment
- Strict adherence to drug and alcohol policies with mandatory testing
Job Qualifications
- Two year hospitality experience with a luxury brand
- Leadership and concierge experience preferred with knowledge of proper Concierge etiquette
- Resort or cruise line Concierge experience desired of affluent clientele
- Must be creative and enjoy crafting a fun and safe atmosphere for children
- Clearly convey information
- Proven record to deliver excellent service
- Self motivated, able to work autonomously
- Ability to build relationships amongst other departments
- Languages preferred include English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Mandarin, Japanese, Hindi, Arabic, Tagalog, Bahasa, Malay
- Prior ship experience preferred
Job Duties
- Service designated Concierge Guests by providing personalized itinerary planning, acquiring special bookings, planning special events, assisting with folio settlement or any other special requests
- Deliver the highest level of personalized service and actively interact with Concierge Guests daily
- Take full ownership of the Concierge Lounge ensuring all food and beverage aspects are well run and implemented
- Monitor cleanliness and maintenance of the area ensuring it is up to show quality standards
- Be instrumental in crafting an environment and performing service that is second to none ensuring all Guest requests are implemented in a timely manner
