Job Description
Ivy Park at Cerritos is a premier senior living community beautifully situated on a well-landscaped campus, proudly operated by the Oakmont Management Group. Oakmont Management Group is a recognized leader in the senior living industry, managing a diverse portfolio of communities under the Oakmont Senior Living and Ivy Living brands across California, Nevada, and Hawaii. The company is committed to delivering exceptional quality of life, comfort, and care through five-star services and amenities. Residents of Ivy Park enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle that includes individualized comprehensive support aimed at promoting continued independence while nurturing meaningful relationships within the community. The team fosters core values of authenticity, teamwork, compassion, commitment, and resilience, which enriches the lives of residents, their families, and team members alike.
Working at Ivy Park means becoming a part of a warm, family-centered environment where joy and laughter blend with professionalism and high standards. Oakmont Management Group values its employees and offers numerous opportunities for career growth, relocation, and travel across its wide network of communities. Employees receive a competitive pay range of 17.00 to 18.00 dollars per hour for concierge shifts on Saturdays from 2:30 PM to 11 PM. Additionally, eligible team members enjoy an attractive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off such as vacation and personal days, complimentary meals, bonus opportunities, company-paid life insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, team member discounts, and other supportive programs.
The role of the Concierge at Ivy Park is vital in ensuring an exceptional experience for residents, guests, and visitors. The Concierge serves as the welcoming first point of contact, offering excellent customer service by greeting visitors warmly, fulfilling resident requests efficiently, arranging property tours, and managing the multi-line phone system. Additionally, the Concierge provides clerical support to administrative staff, maintaining the overall smooth operation of community services in alignment with the company’s mission and values.
Specific duties include answering and directing phone calls promptly and professionally, monitoring the Emergency Alert System and responding to calls without delay, managing the business center and handling mail, and maintaining safety and security standards throughout the community. The Concierge plays an essential role in fostering teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments, contributing to the positive culture of the community.
Candidates for this role must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. While it is preferred that candidates have two years of experience in a hospitality setting or prior senior living community, excellent customer service skills and proficiency with MS Office programs (such as Word and Excel) are essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to interact effectively with employees, supervisors, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families. In addition, candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check and health screenings, including physical and tuberculosis tests. Given ongoing health considerations, Oakmont Management Group may require vaccinations, participation in daily screenings, surveillance testing, and the use of personal protective equipment such as face coverings in accordance with regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all team members and residents.
Joining Ivy Park at Cerritos and Oakmont Management Group means becoming part of a respected community dedicated to excellence in senior living. The company’s commitment to service, culture of care, and meaningful relationships creates a rewarding career for those passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors.
