Renowned for its commitment to excellence, Salamander Hotels & Resorts offers uniquely crafted stays that blend comfort, elegance, and personalized service. The company prides itself on fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests while maintaining focus on innovation, local culture, and community engagement. With locations that often highlight regional heritage and attractions, Salamander Hotels & Resorts upholds a strong dedication to quality and memorable guest interactions that set it apart in the hospitality industry.
The role of Lobby Concierge at Salamander Hotels & Resorts is both unique and challenging, designed for individuals who excel in creating welcoming environments and providing outstanding personalized service. This position involves serving not only the guests but also supporting fellow employees and engaging with the local community. A key characteristic of the Lobby Concierge is their proactive approach—never assuming or promising without certainty, yet always committed to finding answers efficiently and courteously. The Concierge functions as a vital resource, offering guests recommendations, directions, and solutions for a variety of needs, often related to travel, dining, entertainment, and local attractions.
This role requires exceptional multitasking skills, managing phones, computers, and face-to-face interactions simultaneously with professionalism and grace. The ideal candidate is well-versed or willing to develop an in-depth knowledge of the Charleston, South Carolina area, including its food and beverage scene, historical sites, and entertainment options. The ability to contribute to the hotel's mission statement and core values is integral, ensuring that service reflects the company’s standards for hospitality excellence.
Physically, the role may require lifting items such as boxes, luggage, or golf clubs up to 40 pounds and spending about 30 percent of the shift standing, walking, or bending. Salamander Hotels & Resorts promotes equal opportunity employment and values diversity, ensuring a culture where all employees are judged on merit, competence, and performance regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected categories. Working as a Lobby Concierge at Salamander Hotels & Resorts offers a rewarding career opportunity for hospitality professionals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about connecting guests with the best local experiences through attentive and knowledgeable service.
