Job Requirements

  • Ability to multitask using telephones and computers while interacting with guests
  • Quick thinking ability to provide clear and concise recommendations and directions
  • Knowledge of local Charleston area attractions, activities, and services
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, or bend for 30 percent of the shift
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • College degree preferred with emphasis on hospitality or travel and tourism
  • Knowledge of Charleston’s food and beverage scene, area attractions, and local history preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and think quickly to provide accurate information
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Commitment to delivering excellent guest service

Job Duties

  • Create an atmosphere around the lobby desk that welcomes guests
  • Communicate effectively with guests and fellow employees to satisfy personal service needs
  • Develop and maintain a true sense of community connection within the local Charleston area
  • Follow and support the company’s mission statement and core values
  • Use telephones and computers to multitask while interacting with guests
  • Provide clear, concise recommendations and directions for walking, driving, and verbal inquiries
  • Refer and recommend a wide variety of activities, services, and local information about Charleston
