Job Description

The hiring establishment is a senior living community dedicated to providing an elevated way of life for seniors, where comfort, connection, and joy are at the core of their mission. This community prides itself on fostering an environment that supports seniors in living fulfilling, active, and joyful lives with access to comprehensive amenities and compassionate care. As a senior living community, the organization emphasizes a blend of welcoming residential accommodations and personalized services designed to meet the unique needs of each resident. The role being offered is that of a Concierge, reporting directly to the Business Office Manager. This hourly-paid position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and staff, ensuring an outstanding customer experience from the moment someone enters the community. The Concierge is entrusted with greeting visitors, arranging property tours, handling multi-line telephone systems, and providing various clerical support functions essential to the smooth operation of the administrative office. Serving as the community's welcoming face, the Concierge plays a critical role in shaping first impressions, maintaining a tidy reception area, and facilitating communication between residents and the administrative team.

This role requires a warm, professional individual who is capable of managing inquiries from residents, family members, guests, and potential residents with patience and enthusiasm. The Concierge is responsible for coordinating tours, managing mail and office supplies, supporting marketing efforts through positive public interactions, and assisting with dining room activities when necessary. Attention to detail and a strong knowledge of community services and programs are also important to effectively assist visitors and residents alike.

In addition to customer service, the Concierge must adhere to established safety standards to maintain a secure environment for all community members. Physical stamina is important, as the role involves frequent walking, standing, occasional lifting, climbing stairs, and managing physical tasks related to mail and office support. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals who enjoy engaging with seniors and contributing to an environment that emphasizes care and community. The Concierge fosters teamwork through cooperative interactions and contributes to supporting the community's marketing strategies by cultivating a friendly and positive atmosphere.

Overall, this position is well-suited for someone with strong interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft software, and a dedication to providing exceptional service to seniors and their families. Candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, community-focused environment and who take pride in maintaining a professional image will find this role both rewarding and impactful.
