This job opportunity is with a prestigious luxury hotel located in Orange County, known for its exceptional standards and commitment to providing high-end hospitality services. The role offered is that of a Concierge, a pivotal position within the hotel's guest relations department. This is a full-time role that demands individuals who are enthusiastic about hospitality and capable of delivering luxury service standards consistently. The Concierge serves as an expert resource for guests, providing detailed and accurate information about the property and nearby attractions. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-moving environment. Concierge team members are expected to anticipate guest needs, manage special requests promptly, and ensure the highest level of satisfaction with all guest interactions.

As a Concierge, you will be responsible for welcoming guests warmly by name, promoting hotel outlets and events, making reservations, coordinating transportation, and handling special arrangements such as flowers or amenities. You will also maintain up-to-date knowledge of local happenings and establish positive relationships with vendors. Effective communication skills are mandatory as you will interact with guests both in person and via phone or email. Further responsibilities include assisting in front desk functions, supporting other hotel departments, maintaining public area standards, and providing tours of the facility. A strong focus on teamwork is essential as you will collaborate with department leaders to ensure guests receive luxury services including VIP arrangements and high-end amenities.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred
  • Experience in 4 Diamond Rated Hotel preferred
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work days, nights and weekends
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, running
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramp
  • Able to communicate effectively in English/Spanish preferred, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to deal with internal and external guests requiring patience, tact and diplomacy
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with handbook policies
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags
  • Uses basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.)

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in elevated guest service (4-5 Diamond, 4-5 Stars) highly preferred
  • Ability to lead and participate as a member of a team
  • Strong team player and able to motivate a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and guests in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner always using the guests' name
  • Gather, summarize, and advise guests about the hotel and the area
  • Stay current on local events, attractions, and happenings in Orange County
  • Promote hotel outlets including restaurants, bars, marketplace, and club lounge
  • Make restaurant and tour reservations upon request
  • Anticipate guest requests and requirements to satisfy them efficiently and promptly
  • Research and coordinate arrangements for guests' special requests
