The Alamo Drafthouse Concierge role is a crucial position within the company, acting as the frontline ambassador who ensures every guest has an outstanding experience from the moment they enter until they leave the venue. Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to operate POS
- Ability to make change and accurately conduct credit card transactions and account for all monies at the end of each shift
- Stands/walks 100% of shift
- Reaches, bends, stoops, and wipes frequently
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to verbalize and clearly respond to guests

Job Duties
- Ensures that all guests have an awesome experience and are excited to come back
- Maintains a cheerful, courteous disposition with neat, clean and professional attire
- Holds a passion for the cinematic experience
- Keeps up to speed on current and upcoming movies and all Alamo Drafthouse special events
- Has a wealth of knowledge of films, directors, casts and details both mainstream and niche
- Greets guests upon entering and departing the venue
- Answers phone and responds to questions and/or directs calls to the appropriate place
- Communicates guest questions and/or concerns to managers when appropriate
- Keeps lobby clean and free of clutter
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the ticket counter
- Checks for restocking of necessary supplies
- Brings all areas up to standard
- Processes admission tickets to guests
- Ensures all financial transactions are correct
- Operates credit card, gift card, and cash transactions properly
- Accurately calculates change due to the guest and returns appropriate amount in a timely matter
- Maintains the security of a cash drawer and checks it in and out accurately every shift
- Provides assistance to guests' special needs, such as helping those with disabilities
- Directs guests to restrooms, theaters, bars, ATM and other points of interest
- Manages informational kiosk and display of event signs and posters
- Keeps managers fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action that may be taken
- Performs shift change and/or opening or closing duties
- Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictate
- Performs a tech check of features weekly to ensure quality and to gain talking points for guest interactions
