Job Description

The Lafayette is a distinguished senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and a welcoming environment for its residents. Known for its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors, The Lafayette offers a range of services that cater to the unique needs of older adults. This establishment prides itself on creating a warm, respectful, and supportive atmosphere where residents feel valued and at home. As a part of the senior living industry, The Lafayette understands the importance of compassionate and professional staff who contribute to the overall well-being and satisfaction of its community members.

The role of Concierge at The Lafayette is a vital position that serves as the first point of contact for potential residents, their families, visitors, and staff. This part-time and PRN (as-needed) role involves working 2nd and 3rd shifts with specific hours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Concierge's primary responsibility is to provide a warm welcome and excellent customer service, ensuring that everyone who enters the community feels comfortable and well-informed. This position requires the handling of various communications, including managing incoming calls, taking and delivering messages accurately, and supporting the marketing and sales efforts by providing community information to interested parties.

In addition to greeting and assisting visitors, the Concierge supports the recruitment process by welcoming potential job candidates and facilitating their application process. The role also involves administrative duties such as computer data entry and monitoring the community's Bistro area to maintain a pleasant and clean environment. The Concierge plays a key part in fostering a positive community atmosphere by overseeing refreshments, cleanliness, music, and overall ambiance.

This position demands excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Concierge should be knowledgeable about the community's offerings and able to communicate this information clearly and effectively. Maintaining professionalism and a helpful attitude at all times is essential, as the Concierge sets the tone for visitors' and residents' perceptions of The Lafayette. By providing exceptional customer service and supporting the daily operations of the community, the Concierge enhances the resident experience and contributes to the success of the community engagement and marketing departments. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a service-oriented environment and have a passion for improving the lives of seniors.
