We are currently seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our financial transactions and overall guest satisfaction. The Cashier will be tasked with handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper control over guest checks, and maintaining the integrity of the cash bank. This position requires a high level of attentiveness to prevent losses and theft, as well as a thorough understanding of the MICROS point-of-sale system or other register systems used within the restaurant.

As part of the responsibilities, the Cashier will regularly check the configuration of MICROS machines to ensure they are set to the correct menu options, demonstrating complete knowledge and operational competence with the system. The individual will also be responsible for managing the floor plan by consulting the station rotation chart, assigning side work schedules, and posting the finalized floor plan at the host stand. This organizational aspect of the role supports the efficient coordination amongst team members and contributes to a seamless guest service flow.

We are looking for someone with strong verbal and written communication skills, a high work ethic, and the ability to stay calm and effective under pressure. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including working nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of the restaurant business. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in cashier or cash handling role preferred
  • Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills verbal and written
  • Knowledge of MICROS system or similar point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Experience in cash handling or cashier roles preferred

Job Duties

  • Obtain and assume responsibility for cash bank
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, quickly, carefully and responsibly
  • Control guest checks to prevent loss, theft or mishandling
  • Follow proper procedures with regard to check issuance and control
  • Collect payment from guest/server
  • Accurately and efficiently count and give change to guest/server
  • Ensure correct amount of cash is given on money transactions
  • Check MICROS machines to make sure they are set up to the proper menu
  • Have complete knowledge of MICROS system or register
  • Fill out floor plan by checking station rotation chart
  • Assign side work schedule on floor plan
  • Post floor plan at host stand
