Job Description
This position is offered within a well-established senior living community dedicated to providing a safe, responsive, and comfortable environment for residents. The community specializes in offering supportive and assisted living services, including Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Enhanced Living (EL), and Independent Living (IL) options designed to meet the diverse needs of seniors. The role is primarily based at the front desk, serving as the first point of contact for residents, guests, and staff. It involves greeting visitors warmly and managing telephone communications efficiently. The front desk attendant is also responsible for monitoring and operating the alarm panel to respond to emergencies like smoke alarms, coordinating with administration, and assisting residents in critical situations. Besides ensuring safety during emergencies, the role requires routine administrative duties such as logging keys, packages, maintenance and housekeeping requests, and updating resident census records accurately.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Greet residents and guests
- answer all incoming calls to the front desk and relay calls to the appropriate party courteously and efficiently
- use alarm panel to respond to residents assists or smoke alarms in emergency situations and communicate situations to administration
- coordinate all emergency response efforts including directing emergency vehicles to different facility areas
- provide resident information forms and medical data to paramedics and medical transport companies as well as internal responders
- use two-way radio to communicate with nursing, maintenance, and administration staff
- use computer for electronic clinical information and various administrative duties
- log keys in and out
- account for residents using the daily census and flipper sheets
- handle maintenance and housekeeping requests
- log in packages and notify residents
- update the daily resident census
- keep front desk area clean and organized
- apply postage and transmit fax messages for staff and residents
- assist residents with proper dry cleaning procedures
- anticipate and meet residents' needs
- schedule resident IT appointments and submit monthly log to the executive director
- reserve conference rooms using Microsoft Outlook and perform other clerical duties as assigned
