The role of Concessions Worker at Sodexo, based at Huntington Place, is a part-time position paying $20.11 per hour. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume concession environments and are passionate about providing efficient, friendly service during live events. Concessions Workers play a pivotal role in preparing, stocking, and serving food and beverages, ensuring concession stands implement Sodexo’s standards for speed, cleanliness, and product availability. This role includes varied responsibilities such as operating concession stands, kiosks, or mobile locations and serving either grab-and-go or made-to-order concession items. Candidates must be adaptable to varying shifts and demonstrate an earnest commitment to punctuality and teamwork. Overall, this role offers a blend of customer service, food preparation, and operational tasks tailored to create an exceptional concession experience.

In this role, Concessions Workers will be engaged in tasks like assembling and serving items according to company recipes and portion standards, setting up and breaking down concession locations, and operating foodservice equipment such as grills or fryers. The physical demands require the ability to lift and move certain weights safely, making it important for candidates to be physically capable and diligent about workplace safety. Locations may have unique requirements depending on event size and type, necessitating flexibility and enthusiasm for tackling various assigned duties. Job Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Prior concessions, food service, or customer service experience preferred
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol based on local and state regulations
  • Must maintain a valid TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures), TEAM (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management), or equivalent alcohol-service certification, and comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements
  • A Food Handler certification may be required based on state or local regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare, assemble, and serve concession food and beverage items according to established recipes, portion standards, and concessions procedures
  • Assist with opening and closing concession locations, including setup, breakdown, and cleanup
  • Operate basic food service equipment such as warmers, grills, fryers, or beverage dispensers as assigned
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
