Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
  • demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
  • communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct and timely delivery of orders
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and positive rapport with guests and staff
  • remain flexible and patient when addressing guest and staff interactions
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
  • ensure dining room setup before and after service
  • keep area clean and meet sanitation standards
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
