Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is a premier hospitality company known for crafting unforgettable vacation experiences centered around America's largest indoor waterparks. These African-inspired resorts combine world-class dining, luxurious spas, thrilling entertainment, and state-of-the-art convention centers, offering guests more than just a stay but a comprehensive, immersive getaway. As a family-owned business, Kalahari is deeply committed to its employees, guests, and the communities it serves through its Promise to Lead with Love. This guiding philosophy emphasizes compassion, respect, and a family-like atmosphere, ensuring that every visitor and associate feels valued and cared for.
The company’s dedication extends beyond hospitality through its partnership with charity: water, aiming to provide clean drinking water to one million people in Africa, showcasing its commitment to global social responsibility.
The Concessions Supervisor role at Zulu Grille, located within Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, is a vital leadership position responsible for overseeing the concessions department. This role is designed for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest satisfaction, offering an opportunity to lead and inspire teams in a dynamic environment. The supervisor will work closely with management to uphold policies, procedures, and standards across food and beverage operations to ensure exceptional service delivery and maintain efficient, welcoming concessions areas. Key responsibilities include providing leadership and support to the concessions team, filling in as needed to uphold service quality, coaching and training staff in professional development, and ensuring all equipment is maintained in excellent condition.
This role not only supports operational excellence but embodies Kalahari’s core values by fostering a workplace culture centered on teamwork, positivity, and the delivery of extraordinary guest experiences. As part of the leadership team, the Concessions Supervisor will be instrumental in driving the success and reputation of the Zulu Grille, contributing significantly to the overall guest experience at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. This position is ideal for candidates with prior restaurant experience, especially those familiar with front-of-house operations within a full-service restaurant setting in a hotel or resort environment. Additionally, the role requires excellent communication skills and adherence to health and safety regulations, including alcohol and food handling certifications as required by state or local law.
Joining Kalahari means becoming part of a company recognized by Forbes as one of America's Best Midsize Employers and America's Best Employers for Women, as well as by USA TODAY as the #1 Best Indoor Water Park. The company invests in its associates through extensive benefits and growth opportunities, creating a vibrant workplace culture where careers can thrive and individuals are empowered to make a meaningful impact every day. Locations include Wisconsin Dells, WI; Sandusky, OH; Pocono Manor, PA; Round Rock, TX; and Spotsylvania County, VA. Kalahari Resorts & Conventions stands as an Equal Opportunity Employer, embracing diversity and inclusion in all aspects of its operations.
