Job Description
Delaware North Sportservice is a leading hospitality and food service company with a rich legacy spanning over 100 years. As a family-owned and global enterprise, Delaware North specializes in delivering exceptional experiences in iconic venues, including sports arenas, national parks, casinos, hotels, and retail environments across the world. At Busch Stadium in Saint Louis, Missouri, home of the St. Louis Cardinals, Delaware North operates concessions, premium dining, retail, and restaurant services, catering to diverse culinary tastes ranging from ballpark classics to fine dining. The company is deeply committed to fostering employee growth, offering unique career advancement opportunities and a supportive working environment dedicated to professional and personal development. Delaware North values diversity and equal opportunity, welcoming applicants of all backgrounds and striving to promote inclusivity in the workplace.
The position of Seasonal Concessions Supervisor at Busch Stadium offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Reporting directly to management, the Concessions Supervisor leads a team of team members to provide outstanding guest service and ensure smooth concession operations during games and events. This seasonal role pays between $16.75 and $17.50 per hour and includes comprehensive benefits designed to support employee well-being and job satisfaction.
In this role, the Concessions Supervisor is responsible for assigning duties, managing schedules, and assisting with the training of team members to uphold the highest standards of performance. The supervisor handles guest complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations efficiently and professionally. Managing labor costs and minimizing profit loss are also key responsibilities. The role requires overseeing proper cash handling and tip record-keeping throughout shifts. Additionally, supervisors may be called upon to assist with stock management, cashier duties, and direct guest interactions when necessary.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in restaurant settings and preferably at least two years of supervisory experience. They should possess the ability to implement policies, direct employees effectively, and anticipate guest needs while working under the pressures of a busy event day. Physical stamina is essential, given the demands of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days is crucial due to the nature of stadium operations.
Delaware North provides a comprehensive benefits package for eligible team members, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement. All team members enjoy weekly pay, employee discounts, flexible work schedules, and opportunities for training and development. Joining Delaware North means becoming part of a global legacy that values teamwork, excellence, and continuous growth, making this a rewarding career choice for those passionate about hospitality and service excellence.
