The Concessions Supervisor role at Sodexo is based at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $22.00 to $25.00 per hour and involves working varying shifts with open availability preferred to accommodate event schedules. As a Concessions Supervisor, you will oversee event-based concessions operations, ensuring efficient service, compliance with health and safety regulations, and a positive guest experience throughout all concession locations including stands, kiosks, portable units, and autonomous retail areas during events.

Your responsibilities include leading and supporting front-line teams, managing staffing, coordinating service flow, monitoring inventory levels, and handling any operational issues. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments. Supervisors are expected to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and adherence to company policies while adjusting operational coverage based on real-time needs during events. Additionally, you will conduct pre-shift briefings with team members to communicate service expectations, menu changes, and assignments.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-4 years experience in concessions, food service, or event-based operations
  • Supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Must meet minimum age to supervise alcohol sales per local and state rules
  • Must maintain valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent certification
  • Compliance with state-specific alcohol training required
  • Food handler certification may be required
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee concession stands, kiosks, portable locations, and walk-out or autonomous retail stores as applicable
  • Assign staff to concession locations and adjust coverage based on volume and operational needs
  • Conduct pre-event or pre-shift briefings to review expectations, menus, service standards, and assignments
  • Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues to management as needed
  • Support onboarding and training of concession staff and leads
  • Maintain speed of service, safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies
  • Lift and move up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
