The Concessions Stand Lead role at Oak View Group is a vital position responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of concession stands within the venue. This role demands hands-on leadership to manage daily concession activities, including food and beverage order processing, providing exceptional guest service, and handling cash and point of sale (POS) transactions accurately. The Concession Stand Lead oversees the setup and closing procedures, inventory management, and cleanliness standards to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The position requires excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members, management, and guests, delivering a smooth and enjoyable concessions experience. This role pays $18.00 per hour and is tip eligible, offering individuals a dynamic work environment in a fast-paced, event-driven setting. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • Valid food handling certificate
  • Alcohol service permit if required by state and federal laws
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and reconciliation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and event days
  • Excellent attendance record

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner, which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory
  • Ability to perform reconciliations accurately and responsibly

Job Duties

  • Responsible for greeting guests and taking orders for food and beverage products
  • Responsible for accepting payment from guests and making change as necessary
  • Responsible for keeping the work area and surroundings clean using sanitation standards
  • Responsible for memorizing the product menu available at each concession location
  • Assist in clean-up and breakdown of the concession area at the end of the event
  • Assist the manager with product and inventory-related issues, including stand sheets and POS data
  • Shows demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance
