The role of Concessions Stand Lead at Sodexo is a dynamic, part-time leadership opportunity based at Huntington Place. This position is critical for overseeing the operations of concession stands during event-based settings, ensuring speed of service, quality, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. The Concessions Stand Lead acts as the primary point of contact for staff on the concession stand, managing daily tasks and serving as a bridge between frontline staff and management. With a pay rate of $21.39 per hour, this role offers candidates the chance to develop leadership skills within a supportive and flexible work environment where varying shifts and open availability are key. The position requires active participation in the operations with responsibilities including directing concession staff, handling guest concerns, and maintaining compliance with relevant service standards.

Beyond day-to-day leadership, the Concessions Stand Lead supports onboarding, training, and continuous development of concession team members. This role involves frequent lifting, effective communication, problem-solving, and ensuring operational efficiency during peak service periods at events. The lead collaborates closely with the Concessions Supervisor to address staffing needs, service flow, and supply management to maintain a seamless guest experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of experience in concessions, food service, or customer service
  • prior lead experience preferred
  • meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service leadership
  • possess valid alcohol-service certification such as TIPS or TEAM
  • comply with state-specific alcohol training mandates
  • food handler certification may be required
  • ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • minimum of 1–3 years of concessions, food service, or customer service experience
  • prior lead experience preferred
  • must meet minimum age requirements to lead alcohol service based on local and state regulations
  • must maintain a valid TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures), TEAM (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management), or equivalent alcohol-service certification
  • comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements
  • a food handler certification may be required based on state or local regulations

Job Duties

  • Serve as the on-stand lead for assigned concession locations during events
  • provide guidance and support to staff during peak service periods
  • address basic guest concerns and escalate issues to the Concessions Supervisor when appropriate
  • communicate operational needs, staffing issues, or supply shortages to leadership
  • support onboarding and training of concession staff
  • ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
