The Operations Supervisor role is a crucial position within Legends’ Concessions Department, reporting directly to the Director of Concessions. This part-time, seasonal role pays $26 per hour and focuses on supervising all activities related to concessions operations during game days and special events, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the guest experience. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing team members pre-gates and post-gates to ensure smooth and timely operations. They play a pivotal role in line management to minimize guest wait times and are tasked with assigning staff locations and shifts to meet the demand generated by operational needs.
Additionally, this role supervises Non-Profit Organization Groups, manages on-the-spot coaching, assists with onboarding and training new employees, and tracks product usage to help reduce waste. The Operations Supervisor ensures compliance with union policies and health and alcohol service regulations, maintaining high standards of operational integrity. Collaboration is key, as the supervisor works cross-functionally with various departments including culinary, warehouse, human resources, and premium services, to guarantee seamless event execution and operational efficiency.
By ensuring adherence to safety policies and actively promoting a safe working environment, the Operations Supervisor contributes to the well-being of the entire concessions team. Reporting of all safety incidents into the company’s risk management system is a critical responsibility, emphasizing the company’s commitment to workplace safety. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in concessions or hospitality operations
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of safety and health regulations
- Ability to work flexible and irregular hours
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Experience in supervisory or leadership roles within concessions, hospitality, or event operations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to food and beverage services
- Familiarity with union policies and compliance
- Proficient with scheduling and staff management
- Basic knowledge of inventory and waste management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Supervise staff pre-gates and post-gates to ensure they begin operating in a timely manner
- Oversee line management and throughput to minimize guest wait times
- Assign locations and shift employees as needed to meet business demand
- Oversee Non-Profit Organization Groups by requesting and organizing staff
- Provide on-the-spot coaching or corrective feedback
- Assist with onboarding, training, and scheduling assignments for the concessions department
- Track product usage throughout locations and reduce waste
- Perform stand/portable audits and complete event reports
- Monitor and enforce adherence to union policies
- Maintain health department and alcohol service regulations
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as culinary, warehouse, HR, and premium departments
- Perform other related duties assigned by direct report
- Follow and encourage adherence to safety policies and procedures
- Report all safety incidents into the company’s risk management system on the same day
