The role of Concessions Lead supports Legends Hospitality by managing all operations related to concessions, vending, portable, and in-seat services. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring that event day activities run smoothly by overseeing staffing, training, and operational execution. The Concessions Lead is responsible for maintaining high standards of service, sanitation, and product quality. They also manage inventory control for high-volume food and beverage sales and ensure compliance with cash and alcohol handling procedures, aligned with corporate policies. This position requires managing event day staff directly and interacting with customers to deliver an excellent hospitality experience. The candidate must be able to enforce responsible alcohol service and maintain thorough audits of inventory and reconciliation processes. The job demands someone skilled in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, able to lead a team effectively while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role is based onsite at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, MN, and entails working extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The compensation for this position ranges from $20 to $25 per hour, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced, team orientated setting
  • Must be able to work fluently in English
  • Ability to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds, up and down stairs/ramps
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
  • Must meet state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcoholic beverage services
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some college preferred
  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training

Job Duties

  • Assist in staffing, scheduling, training, and counseling of event staff
  • Directly manage event day staff while having direct interaction with customers
  • Maintain and control high volume food and beverage inventory
  • Train, educate, and enforce responsible service of alcoholic beverages and evaluate compliance within corporate procedures
  • Develop and enforce standards for service, sanitation, and product and food quality
  • Ensure all cash/alcohol handling procedures are documented and enforced
  • Ability to interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures
  • Conduct physical audit of inventory and product, research and perform reconciliations
