Job Description

Delaware North Sportservice is a renowned hospitality company with a rich legacy spanning over 100 years. As a family-owned business, Delaware North has established itself as a global leader in providing premium dining, concessions, retail, and other services in iconic locations such as sports arenas, national parks, casinos, and more. With its operations deeply rooted in Cincinnati, Ohio, the company proudly manages concessions, upscale dining, and retail services at the Cincinnati Reds Great American Ball Park, a partnership that has lasted since 1936. This long-standing collaboration is a testament to the company's commitment to excellence and unmatched guest experience in the sports and entertainment hospitality industry. Delaware North's inclusive work culture values every team member, offering unique opportunities for career growth and development across its diverse business operations worldwide.

The role of a Concessions Supervisor at Great American Ball Park is an exciting seasonal opportunity for individuals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments. As a vital leader within the concessions team, the Concessions Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring all workspaces and equipment are clean, sanitized, organized, and operating efficiently. This role requires coordination and management of team members, including assigning duties and assisting with training to provide exceptional guest service throughout game days and events. Beyond managing logistics, the supervisor plays a critical role in resolving guest complaints related to food quality, service, or accommodations promptly and professionally, thereby directly impacting the overall fan experience.

Pay for this position is competitive at $16.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of leadership in maintaining high standards during busy sporting events. The job schedule includes days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-driven shifts, making flexibility and adaptability key traits for success. This position also offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support team members' personal and professional well-being. Delaware North ensures that team members receive weekly pay, access to training and development programs, employee discounts, and flexible work schedules. Eligible employees may also benefit from health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) plan with company match; paid vacation and holiday leave; paid parental bonding leave; employee assistance programs; and tuition or professional certification reimbursement.

No prior restaurant experience is required for this role, but a minimum of two years of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred. Supervisors must have the ability to implement rules effectively, direct employees, anticipate guest needs, and excel in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Physically, the role demands constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions, along with occasional lifting of stock up to 50 pounds. Working outdoors or in variable temperatures may be necessary depending on event schedules and seasonal conditions.

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest services who want to be part of a storied organization dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences in unique and exciting venues. Joining Delaware North as a Concessions Supervisor means becoming part of a supportive team, benefiting from robust training opportunities, and growing within a company that values integrity, diversity, and career advancement. If you are enthusiastic about contributing to high-energy game-day operations and enjoy working in a collaborative environment where every day brings new challenges and rewards, this could be your perfect fit.
