The Concessions Event Manager position within the Intercollegiate Athletics Department is a key role responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day food and beverage operations at University of Oregon Athletic Department sporting events. This includes organizing all aspects of concessions from pre-event preparations to post-event breakdowns. The manager hires, trains, schedules, supervises, and evaluates a large temporary workforce comprised of up to 80 part-time and student employees. Additionally, this role coordinates with 40 non-profit volunteer groups, each potentially having up to 50 members, to staff concession stands during home games and various outside events.

This position is crucial for ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operational flow during high-attendance events. It requires exceptional leadership skills, inventory management expertise, and a strong ability to handle cash management responsibilities proficiently. As events often occur outside of regular business hours, including nights and weekends, the manager must be flexible and dedicated. The Concessions Event Manager promotes the department's philosophy and objectives by adhering to university policies, NCAA regulations, and the standards of the Big Ten Conference.

Employment is a regular, ongoing appointment with 1.0 FTE and comes with a salary commensurate with experience. Applicants should possess at least two years of supervisory experience in food service operations and either hold or be able to acquire an OLCC service permit within 30 days.
