The role available within Legends Global encompasses the critical responsibility of preparing and cooking food items that uphold the highest standards of taste and visual presentation. This function is integral to ensuring guest satisfaction while simultaneously maximizing food-related revenues. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of health and sanitation protocols, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment. As a food preparation specialist, you will be tasked with ensuring all food products are prepared, held, and served at correct temperatures, utilizing proper utensils and portions consistently to maintain quality and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, the role involves maintaining an impeccably clean and organized work area, coordinating timely cooking and order accuracy, and assisting in the restocking of paper supplies and food items as necessary. Flexibility is key as the position may require working across multiple stations during a shift and performing both opening and closing kitchen procedures as documented in the Employee Training Manual.

Beyond the day-to-day food preparation duties, this role is pivotal in implementing sanitary practices for food handling, maintaining general cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will operate within a team-oriented environment but must be capable of working independently under pressure. Strong communication skills are essential for effective verbal interaction with coworkers and supervisors, as is the ability to follow both written and oral directions diligently. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months+ experience in food preparation in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers and supervisors
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
  • Practice safe work habits and follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training

Job Qualifications

  • 6 months+ experience in food preparation in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers and supervisors

Job Duties

  • Observe and practice all established health and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure all products are prepared, held and served at correct temperatures
  • Ensure the proper rotation, labeling and dating of all products
  • Use the proper utensils and portions at all times
  • Keep work area clean, sanitized, and organized
  • Keep management informed of food quantities and quality in prep, on the line and in holding cabinets
  • Coordinate orders to ensure they are cooked timely and with accuracy
  • Assist with re-stocking of all paper supplies and food items as needed
  • Assist other positions when needed
  • Perform all opening and closing procedures as indicated in the Employee Training Manual
  • May be assigned to work multiple stations throughout the shift
  • Implement and follow sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and/or serving areas
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time
