The Hillsboro Hops are actively seeking a motivated and skilled Cook to join their food service team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality concession menu items that meet federal, state, and organizational standards, ensuring complete guest satisfaction. The Cook will operate within a fast-paced, high-volume stadium environment, requiring adaptability and excellent time management skills. This position plays a critical role in maintaining food safety compliance and cleanliness throughout kitchen and concession areas, contributing to the team’s overall reputation for excellence.
The ideal candidate for this role must have a strong desire to cook with precision, efficiency, and creativity while adhering strictly to recipes and cooking guidelines. The position demands working within dynamic venue settings where stand locations may shift during events. Candidates should be able to handle the physical demands of the job including lifting and transporting up to 50 pounds and consistently maintaining safety and sanitary conditions. The work schedule may include evenings and weekends, reflecting the event-driven nature of the role, including six-game homestands and additional stadium concerts or activities.

Job Requirements
- Comfortable operating in a loud, high-volume atmosphere
- desire to cook extensively and improve culinary skills
- experience as a cook in fast casual dining or similar atmosphere preferred
- ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs
- must have and maintain Oregon Food Handlers permit
- frequently reaches, lifts, stoops, bends, and cleans to maintain service area
- English reading, writing and math skills required
- understands possible job hazards such as slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts, and strains
- able to walk and stand during entire shift

Job Duties
- Prepare concession menu items for guest satisfaction
- follow recipes to prepare and cook menu items using various kitchen equipment
- ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- maintain cleanliness of kitchen and concession stands according to sanitation and safety requirements
- serve meals with correct portioning, temperature, and presentation standards
- use established ticket collection procedures during service
- clean kitchen after preparation and serving, properly storing or discarding excess food
- comply with Hillsboro Hops standards, policies, and procedures
- report maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents promptly
- adapt to shifting stand locations within the stadium
- pivot between tasks in a dynamic environment
- treat all guests and team members fairly and respectfully
- communicate effectively with team members and guests
- prioritize guest satisfaction
- be punctual and ready for duties
- work independently and collaboratively
- work evenings and weekends as scheduled
- perform additional duties as assigned
