The Concessions Bar Back role is an essential position within OVG’s live event operations. The person in this role is responsible for supporting the bartending team by ensuring that all supplies and products are fully stocked throughout events. This includes restocking alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining clean and safe bar environments, and adhering strictly to all policies and procedures regarding alcohol dispensing. The Concessions Bar Back must demonstrate excellent attendance and flexibility to work scheduled events according to the needs of the business.
This position pays an hourly rate between $15.00 and $16.00 and is eligible for tips, providing an excellent compensation package for part-time employment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a team-oriented fast-paced event-driven environment
- Good communication skills with employees co-workers management and guests
- Previous experience in a concessions role preferred but not required
- Valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations
- Basic math skills including addition subtraction multiplication division and percentages
- Availability to work events as scheduled including evenings and weekends
- Excellent attendance record
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work in a team-oriented fast-paced event-driven environment
- Ability to communicate with employees co-workers management staff and guests in a clear business-like and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment
- Previous experience in a concessions role a plus
- Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations
- Ability to calculate basic math functions such as addition subtraction multiplication division percentages as they relate to product inventory
Job Duties
- Responsible for stocking products for the bar including non-alcoholic beverages alcoholic beverages icing wells sweeping and mopping the bar moving kegs in and out of keg coolers and tapping kegs
- Drafting beer and pouring wine for guest orders running supplies for bartenders back up fruit napkins cups utensils and stirrers
- Assures that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to the start of the event
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas utilizing sanitation procedures including mopping floors cleaning and stacking floor mats emptying and relining trash cans and keeping closet areas clear of debris and clutter
- Keep the 4K TCL Bar and Sky Club clean and orderly as these are high-profile locations
- Recognize guests that are visibly intoxicated and make bartenders aware of such individuals
- Maintain sanitation health and safety standards in work areas
- Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance
