The Concession Cook role at ONT Field, a part of Legends Global's Food & Beverage department, offers a part-time and non-exempt employment opportunity with a competitive hourly wage of $26.25. This position reports directly to the Food & Beverage Manager and is covered under a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, requiring union membership as a condition of employment. The role involves the preparation and service of hot and cold food items, strictly adhering to company and operational standards at the venue. Key responsibilities include maintaining and organizing kitchen equipment, food preparation with attention to detail and portion control, following sanitation and food safety standards, and complying with company policies and procedures. The position requires a hands-on approach where cleanliness, consistency, and quality are paramount. Employees are expected to manage opening, closing, and side work duties, while also ensuring waste control and maintaining a clean, stocked workstation. This role is critical in delivering high-quality food service to guests, contributing to the overall hospitality experience at the venue. Applicants must meet physical demands such as lifting up to 25 pounds, standing and walking for long periods, and be available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements
- Must be a minimum 21 years of age
- Highschool diploma or GED
- 6 months to 1-year previous food service experience desired
- Must be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues
- Working knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions
- Ability to provide two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis on positive motivation and teamwork
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to interact with all levels of customers and staff including management
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all staff and vendors

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist in maintaining, organizing and cleaning all equipment
- Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service
- Adhere to company dress code including wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes
- Properly prepare, measure, and portion all food items in a timely manner
- Comply with all quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
- Utilize and set up kitchen equipment to prepare food items
- Package all products to proper specifications
- Perform opening, closing and side work duties as instructed
- Keep workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
- Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on spoilage sheet
- Understand and maintain proper sanitation and food safety
- Abide by all company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of Conduct
- Other duties as assigned
