Job Description
Aramark is a leading global provider of food, facilities, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests daily across 15 countries. Rooted in service and united by a strong sense of purpose, Aramark is committed to doing great things for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. The company fosters an inclusive work environment where equal employment opportunities are a priority, ensuring no discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military or veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics. Aramark believes in nurturing talent and empowering professional growth, offering a dynamic workplace that supports employees at various stages of their careers through meaningful challenges and a strong sense of belonging.
The Bartender role at Aramark represents a vital position within its hospitality services, especially for venues that demand exceptional beverage service and guest engagement. This hourly position, compensated at a rate of $16.00 per hour, requires a high level of guest interaction from the moment guests arrive until their departure. The Bartender prepares and serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring quality and safety standards are adhered to during service. This includes mixing cocktails based on established recipes, as well as pouring wine and beer accurately. Hospitality excellence is paramount, with a strong focus on friendliness and comprehensive beverage knowledge. These attributes enhance the overall guest experience, making the role pivotal in maintaining the positive reputation of the client venues served by Aramark.
Beyond beverage preparation, the Bartender is responsible for a variety of operational tasks that include cash handling following strict cash policies, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the workstation, and inventory management to ensure all supplies are stocked and available. Compliance with alcohol service policies is rigorously maintained, requiring verification of patrons’ age to prevent underage drinking. The Bartender also plays an important security role in protecting company assets and maintaining a positive atmosphere among guests, clients, and co-workers.
Aramark seeks candidates who possess a background in bartending or related hospitality experience, along with knowledge of bartending principles, current trends, and established recipes. Certification in alcohol service as required by local and state regulations is necessary, alongside excellent guest service, organizational capabilities, multitasking, and attention to detail. The physical demands may include lifting, carrying, and pushing of items up to 25 pounds, and the role thrives in a fast-paced, enjoyable work environment. Flexibility in schedule, including availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential to meet the business needs of Aramark and its clients.
At Aramark, continuous development and adaptability are core values. Job responsibilities may evolve without prior notice to meet emergent client and operational requirements, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates who are motivated by variety and growth. Working as a Bartender at Aramark is not merely a job; it’s a career path with opportunities for personal and professional development within a globally respected company that values its people and their contributions.
