The Concessions Attendant is also entrusted with assisting patrons in the safe use of equipment and enforcing relevant safety and conduct rules.
Candidates should possess basic working knowledge of food and beverage service, including cooking and food preparation, and must be capable of handling money with accuracy. The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with both coworkers and park visitors. Physical stamina and availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, are essential to meet the demands of this seasonal and dynamic environment.
The Park District values employees who exhibit independence, initiative, and a cooperative spirit. Additionally, the position is eligible for tip compensation when performing direct customer food-service tasks, reflecting the service-driven nature of the job. Age requirements pertaining to the handling and sale of alcoholic beverages must also be met according to Ohio state laws and the specifics of each position.
