The position of Concert and Audience Services Coordinator within the Department of Music plays a vital role in supporting the operational success of student and faculty events held primarily in the Lang Concert Hall and other venues within the Lang Music Building. Reporting to the Director of Concert Programming, Production, and Publicity, this full-time role (approximately 35 hours per week) includes working day, evening, and weekend hours based on scheduled performances. Responsibilities span organizing chamber music concerts, master classes, student recitals, and faculty ensemble performances such as Chorus, Gamelan, Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra, Chinese Music Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, and Critical Mass.
The coordinator is responsible for scheduling the department's Lunch Hour Concert series, recruiting and managing student workers in stage and tech crews, as well as front-of-house personnel. They also oversee publicity efforts through designing and distributing promotional materials, managing social media and community calendar advertisements, and maintaining the department’s YouTube presence. Additionally, duties include identifying off-campus performance opportunities in educational and community settings.
Ideal candidates possess a blend of detailed focus and strategic innovation, have excellent communication skills, and exhibit flexibility in managing the diverse demands of concert production. The position requires a bachelor's degree and relevant experience, including work with musicians, proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Audition, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and a valid driver's license. Experience in theatrical production, web design, live sound, and recording is preferred.

- Three to five years of relevant job experience
- Experience working with musicians
- Proficiency in computer literacy including Adobe InDesign and Adobe Audition
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

- Ability to work variable daytime evening and weekend hours

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with three to five years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience

- Experience with theatrical production stage management house management lighting design web design live sound and recording is preferred
Job Duties
- Support all aspects of running the Music department’s sponsored concerts including chamber music concerts master classes departmentally-sponsored student recitals and faculty-led ensembles
- Schedule and carry out the Lunch Hour Concerts in Parrish Parlours
- Recruit train and supervise student workers for Stage Crew and Tech Crew for each Music department event
- Recruit train and supervise student publicity workers and student writers for the Music department’s newsletter
- Recruit train and supervise front-of-house crews for Lang Music Building
- Coordinate publicity for Music-sponsored performances and events including creating and distributing posters program production social media and advertising on outside community calendars
- Help identify off-campus performance opportunities at schools senior-living facilities hospitals etc
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
