The Computer Operations Analyst - Level 2 position is based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO within the Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit. This role plays a vital part in the BMDS OPIR Architecture Operations team, supporting live operational systems 24/7/365 to ensure continuous functionality for critical defense decision-makers. The position requires working on a shift schedule, specifically on a Pitman schedule with shifts that start at 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., demanding a strong commitment to operational reliability and responsiveness.

This role's main responsibilities include monitoring software performance, patching operating systems and vendor applications, conducting system-level troubleshooting, and analyzing system logs to identify potential issues. The analyst will perform account management and auditing, configure software and systems as per operational directives, and provide initial analyses of software events. The role demands collaborative teamwork within highly motivated engineering environments, proficiency in Linux system administration from the command line interface, and a deep understanding of troubleshooting methodologies. The candidate must have a current DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher certification and possess a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. The job includes approximately 10% travel requirements to support business needs.
