The role of Certified and Licensed Compounding Pharmacy Technician at Covetrus Specialty Pharmacy in Phoenix, AZ, is vital to supporting the preparation of customized medication solutions for veterinary patients. This position focuses on compounding commercially unavailable prescriptions into precise dosage forms including sterile injectables, ophthalmics, oral liquids, topical agents, and tablets. While previous compounding experience is welcomed, Covetrus provides comprehensive training to equip technicians with the skills necessary for success in a fast-paced and adaptable environment. Technicians will work closely with pharmacists and quality assurance personnel to maintain the compounding lab's cleanliness, document procedures, monitor inventory, and ensure proper disposal of chemicals. Mastery of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and lab equipment handling is essential. The work environment demands physical dexterity to manipulate delicate equipment, use protective wear consistently, and withstand the physical requirements of prolonged standing or sitting and donning sterile protective gear. Covetrus promotes a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, emphasizing work-life balance, flexibility, and employee well-being.

In return, employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes retirement savings with company match, paid time off and holidays, maternity and parental leave, military and other leaves of absence, health, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life and disability coverage, identity theft protection, pet insurance, and eligibility for short-term incentive plans.
