Job Description

Developlus, Inc. is a leading manufacturer in the personal care industry specializing in the development and production of high-quality hair color and hair care products. Known for its commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainable practices, Developlus, Inc. takes pride in delivering products that meet the highest standards and satisfy customer expectations. The company operates with a strong dedication to safety and compliance with industry regulations, fostering a work environment where every team member can contribute meaningfully to the manufacturing process. With a diverse team of professionals, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, and an emphasis on continuous improvement, Developlus, Inc. stands as a key player in the dynamic beauty and hair care sector.

The role of Compounder Level II at Developlus, Inc. is a critical position within the manufacturing function, responsible for leading the mixing and compounding of hair color and hair care products. This role involves the execution of tasks following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch card instructions to ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards. Reporting directly to the Compounding Supervisor, the Compounder Level II oversees work order processing, including the allocation and assignment of raw materials through the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, specifically Sage X3. The role demands meticulous attention to detail in pre-weighing raw materials, operating necessary equipment like scales, pumps, and mixing apparatus, and ensuring that every step in the compounding process is conducted efficiently and safely.

This position also involves batching operations in strict accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including the documentation of all procedures and the correct handling and storage of raw materials. The Compounder Level II plays a vital role in maintaining equipment setup and cleanliness, conducting sampling and testing of materials, and managing hazardous waste safely. This role requires collaboration with other team members and occasional supervisory responsibilities to train and guide Compounder Trainee or Compounder I staff. The position demands physical stamina, the ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds, and a comfort level with safety gear such as respirators.

Educationally, the role typically requires a high school diploma or GED, with prior experience in compounding deemed essential. Candidates must also hold forklift certification and demonstrate basic math competency. The work environment includes exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and mechanical parts, necessitating a strong adherence to safety regulations. Developlus, Inc. offers a structured yet dynamic workplace where employees can build their skills while contributing actively to manufacturing excellence. This permanent, full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals in the beauty manufacturing field to advance their career in a supportive and safety-conscious environment.
