Hilton is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its rich history and dedication to providing exemplary guest experiences. Founded in 1919, Hilton today operates a diverse portfolio of hotels, resorts, and extended-stay suites that cater to business and leisure travelers across the world. The company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and hospitality has made it a beacon of success and growth in the lodging sector. Hilton’s vision, which is "to fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality," underscores its mission to offer exceptional accommodations, world-class amenities, and outstanding service. This legacy is driven by the passion, integrity, leadership, and teamwork exhibited by Hilton's Team Members, who remain dedicated to creating remarkable and memorable experiences for guests globally.
Within Hilton's Commercial Services organization, a dynamic team is instrumental in shaping the company’s commercial engine by focusing on sales, revenue management, marketing, catering, events management, call centers, and analytics. These functions collectively drive profitable growth by integrating strategy with operational processes. The Complex Director of Sales & Marketing plays a pivotal leadership role within this commercial ecosystem, responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for Hilton’s hotel properties across the Americas.
In this role, the Complex Director is expected to design, develop, and implement innovative and impactful business strategies that align with Hilton’s broader enterprise solutions. They lead the hotel sales and marketing teams while moving the business analytics and processes towards a predictive and prescriptive approach that enhances overall performance. This includes developing and communicating commercial strategies, ensuring that revenue goals are not only met but exceeded, and maintaining a sharp focus on market trends and competitor activity. The Director is also accountable for crafting the Annual Multi-Year Commercial Strategy Plan in partnership with property leaders and regional teams, managing group and transient revenues, supporting B2B and digital marketing initiatives, and optimizing pricing strategies to maximize revenue streams.
Leadership excellence is central to this role. The Complex Director is charged with leading regular Sales & Marketing Optimization Processes, mentoring and developing sales and marketing team members across different segments such as Group Sales, Business Transient Sales, Leisure Sales, Catering Sales, and Marketing. They foster a culture aligned with Hilton's diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI) principles, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, ensuring all team activities contribute to the brand’s integrity and community leadership.
Moreover, this position requires proactive collaboration with internal stakeholders including AVPs, Regional Commercial Directors, and General Managers, as well as external partners like CVBs, community influencers, third-party travel agents, and Hilton Worldwide teams. Communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for presenting commercial strategies, managing ownership expectations, and facilitating high-impact initiatives such as site visits and sales travel.
In exchange for their leadership and expertise, Hilton offers a highly competitive salary range of $190,000 to $200,000 annually, commensurate with experience and location. Team Members enjoy comprehensive benefits that support their mental, physical, and professional well-being, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, travel discounts, retirement plans, career development programs, and access to supportive resources that promote diversity and inclusion.
Joining Hilton as the Complex Director of Sales & Marketing means becoming part of a respected global hospitality brand that values quality, productivity, dependability, customer focus, and adaptability. It provides a unique opportunity to lead commercial success strategies in a prestigious environment while participating in a culture focused on innovation, teamwork, and service excellence.
