The Assistant Director of Sales is responsible for driving sales in a designated vertical market segment, expertly qualifying leads, maintaining an active sales pipeline, and closing business deals that align with revenue goals. The role requires an individual who is not only adept at strategic sales planning but also skilled in executing targeted sales initiatives such as representing the hotel at tradeshows, client events, and sales calls. The Assistant Director of Sales also plays a crucial role in fostering partnerships with key stakeholders including Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention and Visitors Bureaus (CVBs), third-party travel partners, and important clients, facilitating high-impact site visits and pre-convention meetings.

A vital aspect of the position is the leadership and development of the sales team, which involves recruiting, training, supervising, mentoring, conducting performance evaluations, and providing professional development opportunities. The goal is to build, engage, and retain a highly motivated and effective team dedicated to delivering outstanding results. Working knowledge of tools like Knowland for forecasting and budgeting is critical, and experience as a Sales Manager within hotels (3-5 years) is essential for success in this position. Hilton values core attributes such as integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a focus on the present moment, ensuring that every team member contributes to a positive and impactful workplace and guest experience.
