Job Description

Ole is a dedicated producer of authentic Mexican-inspired food products, with a core mission to provide the highest quality and freshest items to families everywhere. Ole’s commitment extends beyond just creating excellent food – they aim to be a valued part of mealtime gatherings, helping families craft wholesome, fun, and genuine dining experiences rooted in Mexican culinary tradition. As a well-established company in the food industry, Ole prides itself on its unwavering standards for quality and freshness, ensuring that every product they deliver meets rigorous standards and reflects authentic flavors. The company specializes in distributing premium tortillas and related products that are staples in Mexican cuisine, serving grocery stores and retail outlets that cater to diverse communities and culinary tastes.

The role available is for a Route Sales Driver, an essential position that combines logistics, customer service, and hands-on delivery responsibilities within the company’s distribution network. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires a dependable individual to manage the timely transport of Ole’s products to grocery stores according to established routes. The Route Sales Driver is responsible for not only driving and delivering but also maintaining meticulous travel logs, performing daily vehicle inspections, handling invoice and credit creation through handheld and printing devices, and assisting with merchandising to ensure products are presented effectively to customers.

To excel in this role, candidates must have experience with direct store delivery (DSD), especially in grocery environments including both chain and independent stores. They must demonstrate proficiency in loading and unloading delivery vehicles to ensure product safety and operational efficiency. This position demands strong organizational skills, adherence to safety regulations, and a proactive approach to managing routes and overcoming challenges such as traffic or roadwork delays. The company driver will also be tasked with communicating any incidents, vehicle issues, or citations promptly to the management team, ensuring transparency and operational smoothness.

Because this role is vital to maintaining Ole’s reputation for freshness and timely delivery, the company seeks candidates who are punctual, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills. While a high school diploma or GED is preferred, the main focus remains on driving competence and the ability to handle direct deliveries with professionalism. A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and knowledge of local routes are mandatory. Additionally, bilingual English-Spanish speakers are highly valued, reflecting Ole’s diverse customer base.

This job is strictly on-site and does not offer remote or hybrid work options. The role offers an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy active workdays involving driving, customer interaction, and logistical responsibilities in the food production and distribution sector. Olé’s dedication to authenticity and quality makes it an attractive employer for candidates eager to contribute to the food industry and engage with communities through their work.
