Ole is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Route Sales Driver to join the team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that Ole’s products, primarily tortillas, reach grocery stores in peak condition and on schedule. The Route Sales Driver is responsible for delivering goods to various retail accounts, including both chain and independent grocery stores, following a predetermined route schedule. The ideal candidate must excel in time management, navigation, and vehicle maintenance to ensure efficient and safe transportation.
In this role, the Route Sales Driver will manage all transport-related duties, including loading and unloading products and materials such as cardboard displays. They will maintain detailed travel logs documenting work hours, travel times, and destinations, which is vital for operational tracking and reporting. Routine vehicle checks, including daily inspections and cleanliness, are also essential responsibilities to guarantee safety and optimal vehicle operation. Furthermore, communication skills are important for coordinating delivery schedules and reporting any incidents such as tickets, accidents, or vehicle damage to management promptly.
This position is not remote or hybrid; it requires physical presence to handle loading and unloading tasks, merchandise management, and direct store delivery activities. Candidates should have experience with handheld devices and printers for generating invoices and credits, knowledge of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) processes, and the ability to adapt routes in response to changing traffic or road conditions. Bilingual English and Spanish skills are considered a plus, facilitating better communication with diverse store personnel.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- Must be 23 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Sound knowledge of road safety regulations
- Working knowledge of local roads and routes
- The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals
- Effective communication skills
- Bilingual English Spanish is a plus
- Punctual and reliable
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Safely transporting company product (tortillas) and materials (cardboard displays) to and from specified locations in a timely manner
- Assisting with the loading and offloading of product and materials
- Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction
- Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours
- Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking to avoid towing
- Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning, and vehicle maintenance
- Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings
- Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management
