Job Description
Ole is a dedicated producer of authentic Mexican inspired products, specifically committed to delivering the finest quality and freshness in every item. With a core mission to bring authentic, wholesome, and fun eating experiences to families, Ole takes pride in being a trusted name around the dinner table. The company focuses on preserving traditional recipes and flavors that honor Mexican culinary heritage while catering to modern tastes and lifestyles. Their product range is acclaimed for its quality and authenticity, making Ole a beloved brand among consumers who value genuine Mexican cuisine. Ole operates with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and product excellence, ensuring that each delivery contributes to memorable family meals and joyous eating experiences.
The role offered is for a Route Sales Driver position, a vital logistical part of Ole's distribution network. This job entails transporting Ole's signature tortillas and related materials to grocery stores, carefully following a scheduled route to ensure timely and accurate delivery. The driver plays an essential role in maintaining direct store delivery (DSD) for both chain and independent grocery stores, contributing to Ole's strong market presence. Responsibilities include not only transportation duties but also managing vehicle upkeep and accurate recordkeeping of travel times and locations. The role demands meticulous attention to safety, route planning, and product handling, all performed with professionalism and integrity.
The Route Sales Driver is expected to be highly reliable, organized, and proactive in addressing any logistical challenges such as traffic congestion or vehicle maintenance. There is a strong emphasis on maintaining the company's brand reputation through careful handling of products and excellent customer service during deliveries. The role is not remote or hybrid, requiring physical presence and interaction with the delivery vehicle, warehouse, and retail locations. Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish are favored, as this facilitates communication within diverse store networks and community settings.
Daily tasks include assisting with loading and unloading products, merchandising displays at stores, and ensuring all paperwork such as invoicing and credits are completed using handheld and printer devices. The driver is responsible for conducting daily vehicle inspections to uphold safety and compliance standards and must report any incidents or accidents without delay. Ole looks for individuals with a clean driving record, familiarity with GPS and local routes, and a commitment to punctuality and reliability. Overall, this role is crucial to Ole's mission to provide fresh, authentic Mexican products efficiently and professionally throughout their delivery area.
