Ole is currently seeking a dependable Company Route Driver to support the efficient logistics and transport operations crucial to delivering their products. This role focuses on ensuring the timely and safe delivery and pickup of tortillas and related materials to various grocery stores along predetermined routes. The company route driver will be responsible for maintaining a detailed travel log, recording work hours, travel times, and the locations visited during their shift. Additionally, the driver will perform daily inspections and routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is safe and well-maintained.

The role requires a candidate who can operate with reliability and attention to detail, ensuring that all transportation responsibilities are carried out promptly and accurately. This includes verifying delivery addresses, managing travel schedules, and ensuring the fulfillment of all delivery commitments. The company route driver must be able to adapt to situations by adjusting travel routes to avoid delays such as traffic congestion or road construction.

Key to success in this position is familiarity with delivering products directly to stores, especially within grocery chains and independent stores, known as Direct Store Delivery (DSD). Experience with handheld devices and printers for creating invoices and credits is essential, along with the physical ability to load and unload products such as tortillas and cardboard displays from the warehouse to delivery vehicles and from the delivery vehicle to retail accounts. Merchandising skills are also beneficial since the driver will sometimes be involved in setting up product displays properly.

This position is fundamentally hands-on and requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to keep precise records, and strong communication to promptly report any incidents such as accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage. The driver must also ensure that the company vehicle is parked legally and safely at all times to avoid towing, maintain cleanliness and perform vehicle maintenance tasks regularly.

Ole emphasizes punctuality, reliability, and the importance of following road safety regulations rigorously. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is considered an advantage, allowing for better communication within diverse communities and grocery store personnel.
