We are currently seeking a skilled Food Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the preparation of food items for complimentary food service is executed to the highest standards, following recipes and organizational protocols. The Food Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, and meats, as well as making appetizers, salads, and baked goods, all while adhering to strict quality and sanitation guidelines. This position demands a diligent individual who maintains a clean and safe work environment, observes food safety standards, and actively contributes to an excellent guest experience. The ideal candidate will have prior culinary experience or equivalent training and be motivated to grow within the culinary department, following a career path from Lead Cook through to Executive Chef and beyond.
Working in this role requires not only culinary skills but also a commitment to hygiene, safety, and sustainability. The Food Prep Cook will play an active role in supporting guest satisfaction by ensuring portions are properly arranged, garnished, and delivered either for complimentary service or directly to guests. The role also involves handling equipment carefully, maintaining a sanitary workspace, and following guidelines connected to the company’s sustainability goals. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, as well as bending, lifting, and carrying items up to 50 pounds. Work schedules are flexible and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry.

- previous culinary experience or equivalent training required
- Department of Health Sanitation certificate may be required

Job Duties
- Follow recipes to prepare food items accordingly
- wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables
- cut, trim, or clean meat
- prepare appetizers, salads, or cold dishes
- bake breads, rolls, or other baked goods
- portion, arrange, and garnish food for complimentary food service or deliver to guests
- maintain clean and sanitized work areas such as cutting boards, counters, and work spaces
- secure and store food items properly
- be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
- follow safe food handling procedures
- follow guidelines related to sustainability practices as part of the EarthView program
- practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment
- ensure overall guest satisfaction
- perform other duties as requested by management
