Job Description

Amazon is a global leader in e-commerce and cloud computing, known for its innovation, customer-centric approach, and commitment to sustainability. The company operates an extensive network of logistics, technology infrastructure, and corporate offices worldwide. Within this vast ecosystem, Amazon's Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) team plays a crucial role in managing corporate office spaces and the programs that support Amazon employees' day-to-day workplace experiences. GREF is dedicated to creating exceptional workspace environments that foster collaboration, productivity, and sustainability.

The GREF AMER Commute Planner position is an exciting opportunity to be part of the American region's team responsible for delivering a comprehensive commuting program called GREF Commute. This program encompasses a variety of transportation options, including Amazon Ride services such as commuter, last mile, and intercampus shuttles, public transit incentives, car-free initiatives, bicycle programs, employee parking management, and engagement events. The Commute Planner will play an integral role in shaping and implementing commute initiatives that align with Amazon's broader sustainability goals and employee experience objectives.

As part of the AMER Commute Planning Team, the Commute Planner will collaborate closely with the AMER Program Manager, regional leads, vendors, and other stakeholders to bring innovative solutions to the commute program. The role involves leveraging employee feedback, analyzing complex data sets, and applying industry best practices to continually enhance the program offerings. This position emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration, making it ideal for professionals passionate about sustainable transportation and employee engagement.

The Commute Planner will contribute to large-scale initiatives such as reducing single-occupancy vehicle rides to support Amazon's Net Zero carbon commitment, reimagining parking management through technology and improved employee experience, and developing methodologies to systematically incorporate customer feedback into ongoing program development. The position is based in Seattle, WA, and may require some travel to engage with regional teams and partners.

This role demands a curious and inquisitive mindset, a natural problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment, and someone who can think big and innovate beyond conventional approaches. The ideal candidate will be proficient at interpreting and summarizing big data for leadership and stakeholders, managing multiple work streams with regional and consultant teams, and driving continuous improvement of the commute program.

By joining Amazon's GREF AMER Commute team, you will be at the forefront of meaningful projects that improve employee experiences while advancing critical sustainability objectives, working with a team that values hard work, fun, and making history together.
